HR Business Partner - employee relations (remote)

Rivermark Orchard Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Rochester. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on employee relations. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on service alerts. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
