HR Business Partner - employee relations (remote)

Harborlight Union Civic Services works with county and city offices around Wichita. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on employee relations. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on public records. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with public records. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Wichita. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
