HR Business Partner - employee relations (remote)

Fernwood Meadow Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Chicago and nearby communities. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on employee relations. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on meter reading. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
