HR Business Partner - employee relations (remote)

Fernwood Stone Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Fresno. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on employee relations. We reward reliability. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on carrier rates. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with carrier rates. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Fresno. • We reply to every applicant.
