HR Business Partner - employee relations (remote)

Silverline Mill Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Des Moines. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on employee relations. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on carrier rates. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
