HR Business Partner - employee relations (remote)

Fernwood West Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Baltimore region. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on employee relations. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on outage response. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with outage response. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Baltimore. • We reply to every applicant.
