HR Business Partner - employee relations (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Housing and adding an HR Business Partner whose main responsibility will be employee relations. You would join a small organisation of about 29 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on waiting lists. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with waiting lists. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
