HR Business Partner - employee relations (remote)

Cedar Pike Community Partners is a nonprofit in Virginia Beach supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on employee relations. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on food distribution. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with food distribution. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Virginia Beach. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
