HR Business Partner - employee relations (Portland, OR)

Cedar Haven Insurance is an insurance company in Portland with claims and service teams, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on underwriting files. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
