HR Business Partner - employee relations (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Junction Housing and adding an HR Business Partner whose main responsibility will be employee relations. You would join a small organisation of about 45 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on lease compliance. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with lease compliance. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
