HR Business Partner - employee relations (Oakland, CA)

Clearpath North Insurance Group is an insurance company in Oakland with claims and service teams, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on catastrophe response. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with catastrophe response. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
