HR Business Partner - employee relations (Oakland, CA)

Highbridge Corner Insurance is an insurance company in Oakland with claims and service teams. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on employee relations. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on underwriting files. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
