HR Business Partner - employee relations (Oakland, CA)

Fernwood West Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near Oakland, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on packing house output. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with packing house output. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
