HR Business Partner - employee relations (Minneapolis, MN)

Bright North Community Partners is a nonprofit in Minneapolis supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Minneapolis. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on volunteer shifts. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with volunteer shifts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
