HR Business Partner - employee relations (Houston, TX)

Rivermark Beacon Community Partners Group is a Houston charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Houston. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on volunteer shifts. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer shifts. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
