HR Business Partner - employee relations (Hartford, CT)

Ironwood Orchard Arts Center is an arts centre in Hartford with a full calendar of events, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on visitor services. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with visitor services. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
