HR Business Partner - employee relations (Grand Rapids, MI)

Bright Drift Hospitality operates hotels and event venues around Grand Rapids, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. Promotion from within is common. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on group events. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with group events. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
