HR Business Partner - employee relations (Detroit, MI)

Nova Drift Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Detroit area. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on employee relations. You would join a small organisation of about 36 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on field visits. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with field visits. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
