HR Business Partner - employee relations (Detroit, MI)

Ironwood Umber Facilities is a facilities company in Detroit with crews on day and night shifts, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. Bilingual teams are common. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on safety inspections. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with safety inspections. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
