HR Business Partner - employee relations (Detroit, MI)

Summit Iron Medical designs and makes medical devices in Detroit, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on production lots. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with production lots. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
