HR Business Partner - employee relations (Detroit, MI)

Harborlight Kestrel Housing is a nonprofit housing provider in Detroit. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on employee relations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on lease compliance. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with lease compliance. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
