HR Business Partner - employee relations (Detroit, MI)

Lumen Quarry Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Detroit working with agencies and riders. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on employee relations. You would join a small organisation of about 15 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on ridership counts. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
