HR Business Partner - employee relations (Des Moines, IA)

Fernwood Kestrel Property Management looks after rental homes across the Des Moines area, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on maintenance requests. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with maintenance requests. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
