HR Business Partner - employee relations (Des Moines, IA)

Cedar Lakeside Hospitality is a hospitality company in Des Moines with restaurants, rooms and catering. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on employee relations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on reviews and feedback. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with reviews and feedback. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
