HR Business Partner - employee relations (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Drift Telecom and adding an HR Business Partner whose main responsibility will be employee relations. We invest in training. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on outage reports. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
