HR Business Partner - employee relations (Des Moines, IA)

Lumen Ashton Hospitality is looking for an HR Business Partner. The job centres on employee relations for group events, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Promotion from within is common. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on group events. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with group events. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
