HR Business Partner - employee relations (Cincinnati, OH)

We are growing our team at Lumen Union Civic Services Group and adding an HR Business Partner whose main responsibility will be employee relations. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on constituent requests. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with constituent requests. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Cincinnati, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
