HR Business Partner - employee relations (Chicago, IL)

Fernwood Clear Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Chicago, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. You would join a large organisation of about 846 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on fleet maintenance. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with fleet maintenance. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
