HR Business Partner - employee relations (Chicago, IL)

Foxglove Forge Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around Chicago, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on case files. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with case files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
