HR Business Partner - employee relations (Chicago, IL)

Harborlight Umber Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Chicago focused on reliable home and business connections, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on network equipment. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with network equipment. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
