HR Business Partner - employee relations (Chicago, IL)

Bright Willow Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Chicago. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on employee relations. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on underwriting files. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
