HR Business Partner - employee relations (Charleston, SC)

Fernwood Juniper Transit Planning Group helps transport agencies around Charleston design routes and schedules. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on employee relations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on accessibility audits. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with accessibility audits. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Charleston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
