HR Business Partner - employee relations (Charleston, SC)

Northwind Umber Arts Center runs a venue and education programmes in Charleston, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. We run on creativity, deadlines and a lot of goodwill. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on volunteer programmes. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with volunteer programmes. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Charleston. • We reply to every applicant.
