HR Business Partner - employee relations (Buffalo, NY)

Fernwood North Construction is a Buffalo contractor with project managers, trades and support staff, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on permits. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
