HR Business Partner - employee relations (Buffalo, NY)

Fernwood Umber Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Buffalo. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on employee relations. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on fare systems. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with fare systems. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
