HR Business Partner - compensation reviews (San Jose, CA)

Nova Vista Water Authority is a public water utility serving the San Jose area, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our compensation reviews. You would join a small organisation of about 46 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on meter reading. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with meter reading. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
