HR Business Partner - compensation reviews (San Jose, CA)

Westbrook Early Learning runs childcare centres in San Jose caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on compensation reviews. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on family communication. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with family communication. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
