HR Business Partner - compensation reviews (Richmond, VA)

Fernwood West Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Richmond, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our compensation reviews. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on dock schedules. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Richmond. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
