HR Business Partner - compensation reviews (remote)

Nova Amber Press produces print and digital publications in San Antonio, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our compensation reviews. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on bindery work. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with bindery work. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in San Antonio. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
