HR Business Partner - compensation reviews (remote)

Northwind Forge Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Detroit, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our compensation reviews. Safety comes first on every shift. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on service connections. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with service connections. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
