HR Business Partner - compensation reviews (Oakland, CA)

Amberfield Forge Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Oakland, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our compensation reviews. You would join a small organisation of about 112 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on loads and lanes. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
