HR Business Partner - compensation reviews (Oakland, CA)

Cedar Birch Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Oakland presenting exhibitions and performances. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on compensation reviews. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on school partnerships. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with school partnerships. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
