HR Business Partner - compensation reviews (Des Moines, IA)

Fernwood Stone Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Des Moines. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on compensation reviews. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on dock schedules. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
