HR Business Partner - compensation reviews (Des Moines, IA)

Harborlight Forge Legal Group provides legal services in Des Moines across employment, housing and small-business law, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our compensation reviews. Confidentiality and accuracy are taken very seriously. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on document review. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with document review. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
