HR Business Partner - compensation reviews (Chicago, IL)

Fernwood Nest Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Chicago area. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on compensation reviews. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on treatment plant data. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with treatment plant data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
