Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Seattle, WA)

Foxglove Timber Manufacturing is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on variance reporting for machine downtime, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Model the cost of machine downtime and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with scrap and rework. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Seattle, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
