Financial Analyst - variance reporting (San Jose, CA)

Foxglove Rowan Legal Group is a law firm in San Jose serving businesses and individuals. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. People here care about clients, not just cases. What you will do • Model the cost of court deadlines and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with billing records. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
