Financial Analyst - variance reporting (San Jose, CA)

Harborlight North Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around San Jose. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of student accounts and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with learning materials. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
