Financial Analyst - variance reporting (San Antonio, TX)

Amberfield Basin Banking Services provides everyday banking and small-business lending around San Antonio. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on variance reporting. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of account openings and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with loan files. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Antonio, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
