Financial Analyst - variance reporting (Salt Lake City, UT)

Nova Cross Civic Services Group supports public agencies in Salt Lake City with budgeting, records and programmes, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our variance reporting. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Model the cost of permits and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with public records. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Salt Lake City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
